.deed namesOn Solana
Your wallet is 44 random characters. Your name shouldn't be. Claim yourname.deed once, hold it as an NFT, and use it everywhere: send to it, sign in with it, share it.
00The idea
Wallet addresses are for machines. Nobody remembers 7Gx3kP0wQ…a9Qe, and nobody should have to. A name is for people. Claim yours once, hold it as an NFT, and every app in the ecosystem knows it's you.
01How it works
Type a name. If nobody holds it, it's yours for one price, set by how long it is.
One SOL transfer from your wallet. The memo carries your order number and nothing else. No renewals, no expiry.
Your name is a Metaplex Core NFT in the domain.fun collection, and your wallet holds it. Only the domain.fun treasury wallet can add names to that collection, so there's exactly one.
$ deed mint yourname.deed
✓ collection domain.fun · verified
✓ owner 7Gx3…a9Qe
✓ asset 8xQm…Zp7K
Sealed one of one, in your wallet
Point it at a wallet, add an avatar, a bio and your links. You sign the change and domain.fun writes it on-chain, so it costs you nothing.
Send to it instead of an address. Sign in to apps with it. Share one link to your profile. It's the same name in every app that reads it.
02The proof
Anyone can mint an NFT and call it yourname.deed. Only one is in the domain.fun collection, and only its holder can change what it says. Try to get around that.

04What one name does
Move the NFT and the name moves with it. It resolves to the new holder straight away, and only they can change its records.
Drag the deed to Wallet B.
Anyone can send SOL to your name. It resolves to the wallet you set, checked against the chain.
Apps in the ecosystem ask your wallet to sign a message, then look up your name. No password, no email.
One signature. Nothing to remember.
Every name gets a public profile with its avatar, bio and links, edited by the holder.
A public API and a tiny SDK turn names into wallets and wallets back into names. Or skip us: it's one NFT in one collection.

07Questions
A name on Solana that you own as an NFT. It points to your wallet, carries your profile and links, and any app in the domain.fun ecosystem can read it.
No. .deed names live on Solana, not in the ICANN system, so a browser won't open yourname.deed on its own. Your public page is domain.fun/@yourname, and apps resolve the name through the chain.
No. You pay once, priced by length, and the name is yours for as long as you hold the NFT. There are no renewals and nothing expires.
The domain.fun collection. Only the domain.fun treasury wallet can add names to it, and only one asset per name. Anyone can mint an NFT called yourname.deed, but it won't be in the collection, so every resolver ignores it.
No custom program. Names are standard Metaplex Core NFTs, the format Phantom, Solflare and Backpack already read. One public treasury wallet receives payments, mints names and signs record changes, so everything it does is on-chain for anyone to check.
The name goes with it. It resolves to the new holder's wallet unless they point it somewhere else, and from then on only their signature can change its records.
On the NFT itself, in its Attributes plugin. You sign the change with your wallet and domain.fun writes it on-chain and pays the fee.
Yes, that's the point. A public API and a small SDK resolve names to wallets, wallets back to names, and read records. Signing in is just a signed message checked against the chain.
Phantom, Solflare and Backpack in the browser. You approve one SOL transfer. Nobody legitimate will ever ask for your seed phrase, and we never will.
Once a name is minted to you the payment is final. If minting fails after you pay, the order stays open and retries; if it can't complete, you're refunded to the wallet that paid.

It might as well be you.
